A few highlights of day one of my Durban travels:
-Upon take-off from Cape Town our aircraft breaking through heavy rain clouds and before you know it we were flying above a gorgeous thick blanket of cloud with blue skies and the sun streaming through my window onto my face.(Every cloud has a silver lining)
-The most adorable hugs and sweet smiles from Aziz and Adam to see their Aunty Sue
-Over hearing Aziz asking his mum if Aunty Sue will come watch their soccer training.
-Seeing Aziz looking out for me during the training and saying "Where is aunty Sue?"
-Having a cup of Earl Grey tea with Heidi(my sister-in-law) and a chat
-Sitting at a table and having dinner with Aroon and his family. (I really miss meals at a table shared with loved ones)
-Fetching Adhil from the airport last night who has also come for the weekend from Cape Town. The feeling of having both my brothers around.(My sis is missing..she is overseas for the week however we will touch base next week)
-Sleeping in the room my mum used to sleep in and having the photo that is on this post at the foot of my bed. Both elements are calming and a comfort to my soul. The photo is of my Ba(my fathers mother). What an elegant beautiful lady!Triggering beautiful memories.
