Welcome to the first post of this dedicated blog to my trip home to S.A which kicks off on Saturday 02 June 2012. The journey has already started with a special S.A itinerary that i have been working on where I have been slotting in pre-arranged dates with friends and family.
The main reason I am traveling over these dates is to be home for mums 1 year anniversary of her passing. My heart has been going through a tough time during these past few weeks processing the reality that she is really gone and as much as I have been looking forward to this trip home it feels somewhat bitter-sweet. It's my first proper trip home since being based in Dubai and I have decided to drop my anticipation about my feelings and how my heart will react to all that awaits. I need to just be...feel the emotions and embrace all that awaits.
It really is a trip of all sorts of celebrations...celebration of mums life well lived, my birthday,Adhil and Zarina's birthday,Aunty Maryanne's special birthday and just general life celebrations!!!!!
This blog will not only give you insight into S.A and all its natural beauty however will introduce you to some of the people who have been enriching the pages of my life story over all these years.You will also get to hear about their experiences with me on this trip via their lens.
It's a 3 week countdown that now begins till this much awaited celebratory trip.
